Simple Cinnamon Maple Tiramisu

Looking for a simple tiramisu recipe? While this isn't a traditional tiramisu by any means, it's still tastes amazing and takes very little time to put together. It's also no-bake which makes it's a perfect summer treat since you don't have to turn on the oven.

This dessert is the perfect combination of creamy mascarpone, rich espresso, and delicate ladyfingers. Get ready to impress your friends and family with this delectable treat!

It takes about 15 minutes to prepare and assemble but note that it takes about 4 hours minimum to chill in the fridge before serving, so if making ahead, make sure to plan for that extra time.

Tools:

- Stand mixer with whisk attachement or electric beater

- 8" x 8" glass dish or similar

- Silicone/rubber spatula

- Medium sized bowl for brewed espresso (to dip lady fingers into)

Ingredients:

- 1 1/2 cups of 35% whipping cream (dairy or non dairy)

- 1 cup of mascarpone cheese

- 1/3 cup maple syrup

- 1 1/2 cups of cooled brewed espresso (I used instant just for ease)

- 2 packages of lady fingers (or more if you want to build extra layers. I used the Milano branded 150g pack of Giant Lady Fingers.)

- Cinnamon as needed for dusting

Method:

1. Brew espresso and decant into a medium bowl. Set aside to cool. (I've made this with the espresso still warm and it works fine! Just be aware that it soaks into the lady fingers much more quickly!)

2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, mascarpone, and maple syrup until stiff peaks form. About 2-3 mintues depending on the speed of you mixer.

3. Grab your 8" x 8" dish. (I used a Pyrex but anything that's close to that size with walls that are 2 1/2" or more will work.) Start quickly dipping the lady fingers in the espresso one at a time and lay in the dish. You'll want to make an entire layer that covers the bottom of the dish.

(Don’t leave the lady fingers to soak for more than a few seconds, they’ll disintegrate.)

4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers with your spatula and then sprinkle with cinnamon.

5. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture. Sprinkle with more cinnamon. (You can build more layers if your dish allows but note that you'll need to spread a thinner layer of the cream mixture and you might need to brew more espresso.)

5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together. (Overnight is recommended.)

Time to Indulge!

Get ready to savor each decadent bite of this Tiramisu. The creamy layers, the hint of coffee come together to create a dessert that is truly unforgettable. This tiramisu will keep for a week in the fridge. Keep covered to prevent it from drying out.

Serve with your favouritre espresso or coffee and pair with an adorable bouquet of wildflowers for the cutest summer vibes (like this one we put together with a ceramic Mason jar flower cap from the shop).
