This sustainable swap helps you replace plastic pot scrubbers in the kitchen! This heavy duty scrub brush from No Tox Life has a white teakwood handle, with stiff plant fibre bristles.
Designed for stuck on food and heavy stains, including for cast iron pots. Can be used on non-stick pans, just be more gentle with it.
The wood handle is made from a species of teak called White Teakwood. It is very fast-growing (similar to bamboo) and even considered a weed in some countries because it grows so fast.
Each brush head can be used for 1-6 months. Do not leave any of the wood parts soaking in water, the wood will absorb water and it will cause the wood to swell and crack. Place in a dry spot after using it. If you find your brush head is not staying dry, dip it in vinegar occasionally to help kill bacteria. The white teakwood is naturally antibacterial but the vinegar will help too.
- 3 1/4" tall x 2" diameter at top of handle
- Plant fibre bristles
- Once worn out, the wood and plant fibre parts can be composted. Pull out the bristles with pliers to remove any metal staples/rings and recycle those.
