Black Spruce is the official provincial tree of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Black Spruce has a characteristic cluster of branches at the top that form a club or crow's nest. Needle-like leaves are blue-green, short, stiff, four-sided and though they are arranged in all directions along the twig, most point upward.
