100% of the funds from the sales of these totes will go towards the purchase of Black owned agricultural land and equipment in the Greater Toronto Area. Land is central in the struggle for self-determination and economic autonomy for Black women.
Currently Black households are more than 3.5 times more likely to be food insecure than white households. 34% of Black children live in food insecure households compared to 10% of white children. (Black Food Insecurity in Canada article from the Broadbent Institute by Melana Roberts)
