Hi everyone! I wanted to write a post to introduce myself and answer some frequently asked questions!

My name is Tiu and I run Kinsfolk Shop out of Guelph, Ontario. I do get some help from time to time from my partner, but for the most part, this is a one-person show! KS has been up and running since 2018 and I'm so grateful for all of the support and enthusiasm from you all!

I'm in a constant state of learning. This little shop is ever-evolving and I strive to provide the best possible shopping experience, while being as transparent and as helpful as possible. I'm always open to feedback, questions, comments, a good chat...send me an email if you need anything!

Now, onto the FAQs!

Do You Donate to Organizations or Events?

Because this is a small, and mostly solo operation, I'm not always able to donate due to a limited budget. That being said, I do donate when I can and have had the opportunity to support a few different local organizations over the years!

On a monthly basis, Kinsfolk Shop contributes to Tree Canada and Feed Ontario and Water First.

Do You Gift Product to Influencers?

Not usually, no. 

Do You Have a Physical Location?

Not yet!! The shop operates out of a fulfilment space that is not open to the public. One day soon hopefully! In the mean time, I offer shipping to Canada and the US and local pick up/delivery if you're in Guelph, ON.

How Can I Get My Products Into Kinsfolk Shop?

Do You Ever Have Sales?

Very occasionally! I try and price products competitively from the get go but if you want to be abreast of all the happenings, please follow on Instagram @kinsfolkshop or sign up for the newsletter (scroll to the bottom to find the form).

How Do You Pack Your Orders?

Everything is packed by me in either paper envelopes or cardboard boxes (a lot of the time, I repurpose these from local retailers, friends, and vendors). I also reuse packing material that comes from vendors. This includes kraft packing paper, newsprint paper, packing peanuts (corn starch based), shredded paper, and occasionally cellulose padding. It's not always pretty, but it works! Boxes are all sealed with biodegradable paper tape from No Issue. Receipts are not included in orders, but a digital copy will be emailed to you. I do include a small, square business card. Use it as a bookmark, or pass it along to a friend to spread the word about Kinsfolk Shop ;) More info on shipping here

Do You Accept Returns?

Yes! Returns are accepted on unused products within 30 days of purchase. You are responsible for paying for return shipping charges. Items that are considered final sale and that cannot be returned include toiletries (toothpaste, deodorant, cosmetics, lotions and creams, personal hygiene products, etc.) and anything that is no longer in new, saleable condition.
